2012 Enrollment Information Sessions

We are excited that you are interested in learning more about OCP and becoming part of our community. Our information sessions for the 2012-2013 year are as follows:

  • - January 12, 7:30pm-9:30pm
  • - January 22, 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • - January 28, 10:00am-12:00pm

OCP Summer Camp 2012

OCP will offer a six-week summer camp in 2012; the weeks of camp will be:

  • June 11-15 
  • June 18-22 
  • July 9-13 
  • July 16-20 
  • July 30-August 3 
  • August 6-10

Welcome to Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool

Our school was founded with the goal of creating an ethnically, culturally, and economically diverse community that is united through its commitment to parental involvement in education and to fostering a respect for the environment.

Located in Decatur, Georgia, Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool (OCP) currently offers morning classes five days a week for children two to four years old in the metro Atlanta area. Our diverse student body has close ties with many intown Atlanta neighborhoods, including Candler Park, Lake Claire, Druid Hills, Inman Park, East Lake, and Kirkwood, as well as with the Decatur neighborhoods of Oakhurst and Winnona Park.

OCP is a non-profit parent cooperative overseen by a board of parent volunteers. A cooperative preschool such as OCP is a private entity operated by its members—the parents of the students—and staffed by professional teachers. Co-ops recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children. Parents are actively involved in virtually every aspect of the school, sharing their talents and interests in the classroom, on the board of directors, and in various committees. OCP’s program creates a special community that gives parents and children the opportunity to learn, communicate, play, and grow together.
