2012 Beat the Street for Little Feet 

Our annual "Beat the Street for Little Feet" race will be held on Saturday, April 14 at Coan Park. To run this race, please register by April 12th.  If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please contact us at 5k@oakhurstcoop.com.

OCP Summer Camp 2012

OCP will offer a six-week summer camp in 2012; the weeks of camp will be:

  • June 11-15 
  • June 18-22 
  • July 9-13 
  • July 16-20 
  • July 30-August 3 
  • August 6-10

Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool's Director

Betty R. Wood, M.S. joined Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool Staff as Director in April 2008, after having worked as Director of Inman Park Cooperative Preschool for seven years. Betty has been a strong supporter of OCP since its inception in 2005 and has served on the OCP Advisory Board. She has over thirty years experience working with children and their families in public and private schools ensuring that children’s educational needs are met. Professionally committed to the philosophy that children thrive when the family and school work together in the best interest of the child, Betty finds the cooperative preschool educational model ideal in educating young children and parents. Betty has a masters degree in Clinical and School Psychology and has been in private practice in Atlanta for nineteen years. Much of her work as Personal Coach, Parent Coach, and Educational Consultant involves coordinating parents’ and teachers’ efforts in creating the best educational experience for children.
Betty is the proud parent of Elizabeth Anderson, freelance writer, who lives and works in Atlanta.
